If lead generation is your top goal, then YouTube is a great place to start while combining some efforts on other platforms like Twitter and Google+.

Social Media Strategy for Real Estate

Here is a run down with some tips on how to use these platforms for best results.

Facebook and Facebook Live/Periscope

Your Facebook business page is a great way to promote your open house, post the day and time with pictures of the subject property and never forget to add the property address in the post description and fire it away. If you wanna take it to the next level, you can boost the post for a small amount of money and engage with thousands of people who may want to come by and see the home. It’s also a great way for prospects to pre-register and helps the Realtor be more prepared come open house day!

Facebook live and periscope are live stream video applications, they are a great way to engage with people. Shot a live video and let people know who you are, expose them to your outgoing personality.

Twitter

Twitter is a must for brand awareness and SEO value. Google does index Tweets and backlinks to your site. Promote your latest blog article or tweet out homes for sale in your farming area. Here is an example of a tweet- “Great new Little Italy listings just released today  Search for your next home here!”

Google+

Ignore all the hype you read online about how Google+ is failing as a social media platform. The truth is Google+ is still being actively updated and maintained by Google, plus it’s deeply associated with how a search engine ranks any website. If you’re serious about SEO, then Google+ is where you need to be.

LinkedIn

Most office professionals have a  LinkedIn profile, it’s the place to go when wanting to research an industry as well as a person. At the very least, it’s important to have a completed and active LinkedIn profile.

YouTube

Have a new listing? or maybe new some new ammo for a listing presentation and want to impress a client while staying ahead of the competitor? if that’s the case then you need to invest some time in learning how to create cool videos.

Creating video is easy! no need to hire anyone for this. Familiarize yourself with video creation and editing programs, iMovie is a great application for beginners.
